Arrived in Hilo. Drove up to Mauna Kea. (Cold as heck!) We saw Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and a lot of constellations and stars! Then we spent the night at Hilo United Methodist Church.

August 3 (Sunday)
We walked along the bayfront area and ate breakfast at McDonalds. After attending church at Hilo UMC, we went to Kolekole Beach Park for a picnic lunch and an afternoon of swimming and playing games. The stream was cold!
